The workshop is a one-day event with the goal to promote Bioinformatics
activities taking place in the Genoa area.

The specific topic of this workshop, "Interacting proteins: a computational intelligence challenge", touches on one side a theme that is central to both basic science and some advanced applications (like pharmacogenomics), namely, protein interaction networks, and on the other side hot and stimulating problems in complex network analysis, with a special emphasis on (but not limited to) computational intelligence approaches.
