Computational Biology: From Data to Hypotheses Dates: July 10-15 (2011), Bilbao (Spain)
The course will consist of six days of lectures and practical work. The course will begin by discussing how to analyse data from next generaton sequencing (ChipSeq experiments) and microarray experiments. Next, it will illustrate how to analyse a gene and a protein sequence, with a special session dedicated to membrane proteins, and, finally, how to model a three-dimensional structure of a protein by homology. The lectures and practicals will not assume any prior knowledge of bioinformatics and only freely available and accessible tools will be used.
