ECCB 2016: Call for full papers and abstracts * EXTENDED SUBMISSION DEADLINE

The following ECCB 2016 calls are now open:

ELIXIR Applications

We invite submissions of abstracts to the ELIXIR Application track at ECCB 2016. The aim of the ELIXIR Track is to showcase to the community the latest outputs and services from across the initiative. The focus of submissions should be on developments relating to services and infrastructure within ELIXIR - those relating to research are out of scope with the purpose of the initiative. Submissions should only be made by institutes that are officially partners of ELIXIR. They should highlight services and activities that are run as part of their ELIXIR Node or which are related to the ELIXIR-EXCELERATE project.

Applications

We invite the submission of abstracts to this new initiative established at ECCB 2016 to promote application of computational biology. The aim of the Application Track is to give a voice to those who work outside of academia, often having alternative dissemination strategies relative to scientific publishing. This track is a platform for presenting (software) applications, which may be untraditional and uncommon at purely academic conferences.

Highlight papers

We invite the submission of full papers that have recently been published, or have been accepted for publication, for a highlight presentation. The selected highlights will be presented in tracks that run in parallel at the conference. The ultimate goal of the Highlight Track is to attract exciting and thought-provoking seminars that will both contribute to the success of the conference and to the impact the meeting has on advancing computational biology and bioinformatics.

Proceeding papers

We invite the submission of full papers that demonstrate both the development of new computational techniques and their application to Molecular and Systems Biology, with significant outcomes to biomedical, agricultural, and environmental questions. Accepted Proceeding Track submissions will be presented in parallel tracks at the conference. Accepted submissions will be published as conference proceedings in an open access, online-only, section of a regular issue of the Bioinformatics journal.

Posters

We are soliciting high-quality research posters in any aspect of computational biology to invoke lively discussions. We invite all interested participants and conference attendees to consider presenting a poster.
