The Position
Plant Industry requires a talented leader in the field of Bioinformatics to coordinate and develop CSIRO Plant Industry’s bioinformatics resources and research projects to ensure the Division is at the cutting edge in the delivery of bioinformatics infrastructure, services and research.

The successful applicant will have extensive experience and/or PhD in Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or related disciplines. The person will also be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage and provide strategic leadership to projects and clients, and develop/implement bioinformatics policies/procedures. Key to the success of this role will be the ability to create/maintain effective working relationships by being able to work across disciplines and organisational boundaries.
