Job Description: Postdoctoral position (15 months) in Padova, Information Engineering Department. 

 

 

In the context of bioinformatics team, we are recruiting a 15 months postdoctoral fellow. 

 

This project aims at developing and implementing computational pipelines for biomarker identification  with particular application to identification of markers of diabetes and its complications from high-throughput sequencing and GWAS data.

 

The successful post-doc candidate will work in a multidisciplinary bioinformatics team and will have opportunities to be involved in cutting-edge research.

 

 

Profile: 

- PhD in bionformatics, bioengineering or computer science or PhD in biology with a strong experience in bioinformatics; 

- Abilities for bioinformatics software development; 

- Communication in an interdisciplinary research group; 

- English; 

- Knowledge in molecular biology and genomics; 

- knowledge of programming languages like C, C++ and R is highly appreciated;
