Candidates are required to have Doctoral degree in Computer Science or
Engineering or Bioinformatics or Statistics.
Successful candidates will have some expertise in at least one
programming language, the use of computational algorithms and
interests in biology. Knowledge of Unix system and of biological sequence databases
is desirable, but not required.
The candidate will develop new algorithms and software for pattern discovery
a the level of whole genomes. The main goal of the project is to establish
patterns preferences for different problems in the fields of genomic and of proteomic,
such as phylogeny, transcription factor binding sites, protein functional motifs etc.
