The Research Area of Computer Science and Engineering at the Dipartimento di Elettronica e Informazione (DEI) ( http://www.dei.polimi.it/index.php?&idlang=eng ) of Politecnico di Milano ( http://www.polimi.it/ ) is considering top candidates from foreign institutions at the associate professor level, in order to open new positions.
The Research Area of Computer Science and Engineering at the Dipartimento di Elettronica e Informazione (DEI) ( http://www.dei.polimi.it/index.php?&idlang=eng ) of Politecnico di Milano ( http://www.polimi.it/ ) is considering top candidates from foreign institutions at the associate professor level, in order to open new positions.
Candidates should either already hold an associate professor position, to use the option of transferring their position to DEI, or have a very strong curriculum in Computer Science and Engineering, in which case they will be invited to participate in a competition which will be offered according to the national and local regulations during 2013.
The call is intended to collect information about potential applicants, also welcoming experts in research fields which are not covered by the current Faculty, such as multi-feature network-base bioinformatics, bio-data analytics, bioinformatics and computational biology applications, so as to broaden the spectrum of research topics and areas; potential applicants are referred to the description of the current research areas in Computer Engineering by looking at: http://www.dei.polimi.it/ricerca/sezioni/index.php?id_sezione=3&idlang=eng
The candidate should bring to the post teaching ability at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Fluency in English is required as this is the language of instruction at the master and PhD levels. We seek someone with a strong research interest and commitment to funded research, and a proven ability to attract international research funding.
