Research Analyst


Description:
Formalization and implementations of requirements of biological/ecological systems into the CoSBiLab suite. Perform a variety of modeling tasks, including literature search to gain the available information on a given problem, pre-processing of the available data to make them amenable to manipulation within the CoSBiLab framework, design and implementation of the model relying on the CoSBi-developed programming languages, running simulations and in- silico experiments, analysis of the outcome of the experiments and comparison with wet lab available data, production of reports on the experiments performed. Identify relevant features for software applications in specific high-tech innovative domains like biotech, agro-food, environment and ecology as well as health-care field on the basis of the modeling experience and on the feedback from the customers.


Qualifications:
Master’s degree in computer science or related engineering disciplines with a basic knowledge of biological systems or Bioinformatics degree with good programming skills.


Required Skills:
Ability to balance multiple simultaneous tasks, determine priorities, and provide the required deliverables to meet or exceed CoSBi’s needs. Experience with programming languages and scientific software tools. Proven ability to successfully identify smart solutions to challenging problems and ability to quickly code the solutions in programming languages. Good English fluency.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Experience in simulation-related projects and requirements gathering from customers. Must be a fast learner, extremely organized with a high degree of attention to detail.

Location:
The work location is Northern Italy, Trento/Rovereto. Need to travel world-wide to customers’ sites.
