The postdoctoral fellow will study complex regions of the human genome involved in neurodevelopmental disorders (in particular autism) and, at the same time, evolutionary “hotspots" by using both data produced in the lab and available genomic and transcriptomic data. The applicant will reconstruct the locus architecture and evolutionary history through comparative sequence analysis in Primates. He/she will also investigate candidate and/or human-specific genes at the rearrangement site by genotype-phenotype correlation studies as well as gene expression data analysis.
