The Faculty of Science of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) announces the opening of a full-time academic position
in the Department of Computer Science starting October 1st, 2008.

Candidates are expected to lead high quality teaching and research programs in computational aspects of life sciences and bioinformatics.
All applicants are expected to hold a Phd in Computer Science or related disciplines and have a strong record of publications
and research experience in the areas of life science and computing. Experiences in interdisciplinary collaboration as well as a
significantly long research stay in a foreign university or research laboratory are important assets.
Required expertise: bioinformatics, computational and stochastic modelling of life sciences problems, machine learning,
data mining, numerical methods, algorithmics and optimization.
