Role of Retransposable elements in cell identity and reprogramming

KAUST Visiting Student Research Internship Program is an opportunity for exceptionally qualified baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate students to conduct research with faculty mentors in selected areas of basic and applied research projects. The duration of the program ranges from between three and six months, depending on the research project.

 

Two supervised research projects are available in the laboratory of Valerio Orlando and the Environmental Epigenetics Research Program (keep.kaust.edu.sa) about the role of mammalian transposable elements in genome structure and function.

 

VSRP visiting students will receive the following:

 

  • Academic credits

  • Monthly living allowance between $800 and $1200

  • Round-trip airfare to/from Jeddah

  • Health insurance

  • Visa feees

  • Private bedroom in a shared residential suite

  • Access to all recreational and cultural activites
