Short term student project OPPORTUNITY - The European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI)
Currently the NET Team at EMBL-EBI The European Bioinformatics Institute (Cambridge, UK) offers a short term project suitable for postgraduate students in bioinformatics or computer science.
Project description and requirements are detailed in the file available from http://www.ebi.ac.uk/~sansone/student_projects_08

The outcome of this project will make a substantial contribution to data management  (particularly annotation, submission and exchange of the transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics-based experimental metadata); areas that still present significant challenges to biologists and bioinformaticians.

The 5-6 months project is realized while the student work within the NET team at EBI (www.ebi.ac.uk/net-project), part of the larger Microarray group (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/microarray). The successful students, employed and paid as trainee, will be supervised by two members of the team.

We aim to shortlist the applicants in February and start the projects around April or May 2008.

Please, do not hesitate to contact me if you require more information.
