Dear Colleague,
we would like to inform about, and invite you to submit a contribution to the workshop "Network Models and Analysis: From Foundations to Complex Systems” to be held at the ICCS- INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCE , Prague, Czech Republic, 3-5 July, 2023
We are organizing the ICCS - Network Models and Analysis: From Foundations to Complex Systems workshop aiming to bring together researchers, both from academy and industry, as well as practitioners and students to share and discuss ideas and results (even in first stage) about network science, network embedding and analysis to study biological and biomedical data.
We encourage submission of short (7 pages) and long (14 pages) papers as well as abstact (2-page formats). We are planning to invite all the contribution to a special issue of a SCOPUS indexed journal (advanced negotiations in progress).
Please feel free to forward this invite over to anyone you think might be interested, thank you.
The workshop and the special issue are seeking original research papers presenting applications of parallel and high performance computing to biology and medicine. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Network-based bioinformatics methods;
• Networks-based applications in computational biology, genomics, medicine, and healthcare;
• Graph representation learning for visualising and interpreting biological and biomedical data;
• Bioinformatics methods for network-based analysis and visualization;
• Network-based modelling and analysis of complex diseases;
• Complex network models for structure and function analysis;
• Network models in epidemiology;
• Next-generation network science;
• Artificial intelligence for network models of complex diseases;
• Networks Alignment;
• Complex Prediction;
• Network Embedding;
• Pathways Analysis;
• Interactomics databases;
• Pathways databases.
Important Dates
Paper submission: 3 February 2023
Notification to authors: 3 April 2023
Camera-ready papers: 21 April 2023
Author registration: 3 – 21 April 2023
Non-author registration (in-person): 3 April – 2 June 2023
Non-author registration (online): 3 April – 21 June 2023
Conference sessions: 3-5 July 2023
Out of the submitted full papers to the main track and thematic tracks, we will select some 30% high-quality papers for presentation at the conference and publication in the proceedings. These are published by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series and indexed by Scopus, EI Engineering Index, Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (included in ISI Web of Science), and several other indexing services. The papers will contain linked references, XML versions and citable DOI numbers.
