Bioinformatician Meyer Children's Hospital – University of Florence

The Medical Genetics Unit of Meyer Children's Hospital – University of Florence is looking for young, highly motivated candidates, who will work on the development of computational methods for
the analysis and integration of Next Generation Sequencing data.

Our research group is focused on molecular diagnosis of rare genetic diesases in pediatric age, in particular kidney diseases, diabetes, bone dysplasias and pediatric GBM

The candidate will be mainly in charge of process and analyse high throughput DNA and RNA sequencing data (exome and targeted resequencing), develop, optimize and run NGS analysis pipeline,
data management systems and analyse Gene Expression data


Required Skills:
good knowledge of computational methods for sequence analysis, Linux bash and at least one programming/scripting language (e.g. Python, Perl, R) are required.
 
Good knowledge of Scientific English will be positively evaluated for this position, together with good presentation and teamwork skills.
