The Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London implements a cross-disciplinary model of translational research, leveraging on the extensive adoption of genomics and bioinformatics approaches to advance the identification of novel therapeutic targets and biomarkers of disease.

We are seeking a Post-Doctoral Bioinformatics Researcher with expertise in genomics data analysis and bioinformatics to join our BRC Bioinformatics Core. The post holder will provide expert analysis and interpretation of complex and integrated clinical and genomics datasets arising from cutting-edge translational research programmes in various therapeutic areas.

The successful candidate will have at least a degree, and preferably a PhD or equivalent experience, in bioinformatics, mathematics, statistics, or in a biological science with substantial analytical components. They will enjoy team working and interactions with clinicians and experimental biologists to work on complex real-world datasets, and will have significant experience using bioinformatics tools and programming languages such as R/Bioconductor, Matlab, Perl.

The salary will be on grade 6: £30,940 to £40,809 inc. of High Cost Area Allowance.
This appointment is for 2 years after which it will be reviewed.
