The NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at GSTFT and KCL delivers world class translational research to benefit the health and wealth of the nation. BRC supported research activities are span across eight research themes encompassing Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, Cutaneous Medicine, Environmental and Respiratory Health, Imaging & Bio-Engineering, Infection & Immunity, Molecular Genetics and Transplantation.
A position is currently available for a post-doctoral researcher with experience of bioinformatics and genomics data analysis to join the GSTFT BRC Bioinformatics Core. They will be responsible for the bioinformatics data analysis of complex and integrated data sets, including genomics and clinical information, in the context of translational research projects run in collaboration with academic and clinical researchers.
The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline e.g – bioinformatics, mathematics, statistics, or in a biological science with substantial analytical components. They will enjoy team working and interactions with clinicians and experimental biologists to work on complex real-world datasets, and will have significant experience using tools such as R/Bioconductor, Matlab, Perl.
