bioinformatics team working on cereal crops such as hexaploid wheat.
Position Summary

The ACPFG is a cereal crop genomics facility which conducts research in
plant genomics to develop cereal cultivars which are more resistant to
environmental stresses, such as drought and salinity. To this end
researchers investigate the genetic mechanisms that regulate the
responses to specific stresses at the molecular level, and try to
unravel the underlying regulatory networks that control plant growth
under stress conditions. The Bioinformatics Officer will contribute to
the development of computational and bioinformatics capability of the ACPFG.

Scope
There is approx. 130 staff employed by the ACPFG across 4 nodes located
at the Universities of Adelaide, South Australia, Melbourne and
Queensland. Working under limited supervision, the Bioinformatics
Officer will be located at the Waite campus of the University of
Adelaide and will provide support to a Pioneer - DuPont funded project,
