The Postdoc will be responsible for analyses of RNA-seq data from mammalian cells
silenced for DNA repair factors and/or treated with selective chemical probes. The
project will focus on Tdp1, a nuclear enzyme that repairs DNA nicks caused by
another nuclear enzyme, Top1, a modulator of torsional tension of DNA. The project
intends to determine the specific transcriptional roles of Tdp1 and Top1 in human
cells and neuronal stem cells, and transcriptional effects of chemicals. The research
project includes collaborations with established bioinformatic teams.
Candidates with previous experience in bionformatics are preferred. The application
call will be published before the end of January 2013.
