Research: The laboratory of Stem Cell Epigenetics, headed by Giuseppe Testa and associate member of the EuroSyStem European Research Consortium (http://www.eurosystemproject.eu), invites applications for a postdoctoral candidate with a solid background in bioinformatics and an interest in the regulation of neural stem cells and their misregulation in brain cancer. The focus of the lab is on the epigenetic mechanisms that enable the establishment and maintenance of lineage choices and that underlie lineage aberrations in cancer. Through innovative mouse models that were recently established in the lab, the successful candidate will analyze global expression and chromatin profiles to define the genomic programs controlled by key epigenetic regulators in physiologically meaningful stages of neurogenesis and gliomagenesis. The position offers a competitive salary and the benefits of the International Postdoc Program (SIPOD) at the IFOM-IEO-Campus. 

Requirements: PhD in Molecular Biology, Engineering or Informatics with a solid background in bioinformatics. Previous experience in stem cell biology is not required. We are looking for a highly motivated scientist who wishes to join an interactive team at the cutting egde of research in histone methylation and mouse genetics (Natoli et al. Curr. Opin. Drug Discov. Develop. 2009; De Santa et al. EMBO J. 2009; Burgold et al. PLoS One 2008; De Santa et al. Cell 2007; Testa et al. Nature Biotechnology 2003).
