The Istituto Superiore di Sanità (Italian National Istitute for Health) offers within its Department of Infectious Diseases:

1) Post-doctoral position in bioinformatics, MEPHITIS (FP7) fellowship
For a project financed by the European Community program FP7
40 hours/week, a three year contract will be offered.
2) Post-doctoral position in bioinformatics, Network Italiano di Malaria fellowship
For a project financed by the Fondazione San Paolo.
30 hours/week, a two year contract will be offered

Candidate will integrate the Bioinformatic Unit of the Department of Infectious Diseases to participate in projects concerning the analysis of parasite specific domains/proteins in Plasmodium spp.  Particular attention will be devoted to multigene families. In the context of the FP7 projects we will be involved in evolutionary analyses of tRNA in Plasmodium spp. , characterization of parasite specific domains and molecular modelling of these proteins on the basis of sequence homology.
