REQUIREMENTS
Candidates are expected to have knowledge of biology, functional and evolutionary genomics. Previous experience with comparative genomics and genomics databases is a desirable asset. For candidates willing to do bioinformatics work, knowledge of programming in a UNIX/Linux environment is required. For candidates willing to do wet-lab work, previous experience with cellular and molecular biology is required.

The closing date for applications is 29 August 2019.

Candidates passing the evaluation of the submitted documents will undergo written and eventually oral examination in person at SISSA on the 19 and 20 September 2019. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed.

The PhD program will start in November 2019.

SISSA, the International School for Advanced Studies is a scientific center of excellence located in Italy, in the city of Trieste.
