Web developer position 

Center of Translational Genomics and Bioinformatics ,  San Raffaele Hospital,  Milano.

We are looking for a young web developer to join our laboratory in the Center of Translational Genomics and Bioinformatics at the San Raffaele Hospital in Milano, to work on the development of an integrated system to collect, manage, analyze and share phenotypic, clinical, genealogical and genetic data for research purposes. 

We have recently developed a containerized microservices-based web application (Cohort Genomics Platform). The backend is composed by microservices mainly written in Ruby which communicate to each other through RESTful/JSON APIs. Although the application is technically server-rendered we are heavily exploits React javascript library for UI and we are in the process to move as much logic as possible to the frontend.

For this reason the ideal candidate is a young enthusiastic investigator with a minimum of one and a maximum of three years full-time experience in web development and familiar with React and its ecosystem as well as all frontend background technologies like html5, css3 and Javascript and principles. Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc ..) is strongly desired to be successful in this position

Other technologies and frameworks involved in the project are Ruby On Rails, Redis, MongoDB, mySQL, SurveyJS, jQuery, git, JWT, Docker. Their knowledge will be a real plus

The platform is ready to be released but several aspects still have to be developed and the  selected candidate will be involved in many aspects of the process such as maintenance, deployment, refactoring, testing as well as the development of new upcoming features like methods for data extraction and analysis.
