Additional comments

The laboratory is broadly interested in the epigenetics of nutrition and cancer. Current projects include:

* Study of epigenetic pathways involving macroH2A1, a variant of histone H2A, a repressor of gene transcription in the differentiation of liver cancer stem cells.
* Study of macroH2A1 in the differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells.
* Study of the interplay between diet, immune system and gut microbiota during aging. To achieve these goals we use various in vitro and in vivo models and we generated/will generate a large quantity of next generation sequencing data (RNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, metagenomics, microarrays), which are fundamental to understand mechanisms and identify druggable targets.
