The NIHR GSTT Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at Guy's and St Thomas and King's College of London delivers world class translational research to benefit the health and wealth of the nation.
Within this context, the BRC Translational Bioinformatics Platform focuses on translational research projects based on genomics and bioinformatics approaches for the identification of novel therapeutic targets and disease biomarkers, and the dissection of molecular mechanisms underpinning diseases.

Our research activities span across different therapeutic areas including Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, Cutaneous Medicine, Environmental and Respiratory Health, Imaging & Bio-Engineering, Infection & Immunity, Molecular Genetics and Transplantation. A position is currently available in our group for a post-doctoral researcher with extensive experience of bioinformatics and analysis of high-throughput molecular data sets, such as genomics (NGS and microarray), flow- and mass-cytometry, , proteomics, in integration with clinical and pathological information. They will be responsible for the application of methods for data interpretation of integrated data sets as well as for the development of novel analytical strategies the context of collaborative translational research projects.

The successful candidate will have a PhD and Post-Doc or equivalent experience in bioinformatics, mathematics, statistics, or in a biological science with substantial analytical components. They will enjoy team working and interactions with clinicians and experimental biologists to work on complex real-world datasets, and will have significant experience using tools such as R/Bioconductor, Matlab, Perl.
