The NIHR GSTT Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at Guy's and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King's College London delivers world class translational research to benefit the health and wealth of the nation.

Within this context, the BRC Translational Bioinformatics Core focuses on translational research projects based on genomics and bioinformatics approaches for the identification of novel therapeutic targets and disease biomarkers, and the dissection of molecular mechanisms underpinning diseases.

Our research activities span across different therapeutic areas including Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, Cutaneous Medicine, Environmental and Respiratory Health, Imaging & Bio-Engineering, Infection & Immunity, Molecular Genetics and Transplantation.

A position is currently available in our group for a post-doctoral researcher, with experience of bioinformatics, genomics data analysis and programming.

You will be responsible for the analysis and interpretation of complex and integrated data sets, including genomics and clinical information and methods development, in the context of translational research projects.

You will have a PhD or equivalent experience in bioinformatics, mathematics, statistics, or in a biological science with substantial analytical components.

You will enjoy team working and interacting with clinicians and experimental biologists to work on complex real-world datasets and will have significant experience using tools such as R/Bioconductor, Matlab, Perl.
