1 post-doctoral researcher with a background in computational biology, computer science, physics or related field.

The individual will design and implement strategies to nominate and rank synthetic lethal combinations prioritizing those with relevant existing drugs.
The study leverages access to genomic and epigenetic data generated with a range of sequencing platforms from thousands of human tumors.

Expertise in next generation sequencing data from human cells and strong mathematical/quantitative background is necessary.
Programming skills are mandatory.
Knowledge of cancer genomics and cancer evolution analysis strategies is recommended.

There will be numerous opportunities for training to complement current skills, and we envision much collaboration with European and International outstanding scientists. Applicants should have completed a PhD in computational biology, computer science, physics or related field, together with a strong publication record. Salary is commensurate with experience.

1 computational/bioinformatics technician.
The individual will maintain the study data, data flow, and access to publicly available datasets. Will implement a web application and interface to allow for the research community to access to the SPICE (http://cordis.europa.eu/project/rcn/197873_en.html) study computational results and implement modules to interact with existing data portals utilized in the cancer community.

Applicants should have completed a master degree or similar in computer science or related field.

The project work will be performed under the supervision of Dr. Francesca Demichelis. The resources of the Centre for Integrative Biology and of the PI laboratory enable the research team to conduct efficient work with state of the art technologies and outstanding collaborators. Our group is also heavily involved in inter-institutional international studies in the context of large-scale collaborative efforts in cancer genomics and in the understating of metastatic disease (Weill Cornell Medical College, ICR UK, San Camillo-Forlanini Rome).

Complete applications include updated CV with 3 reference contacts, letter of intent. Two recommendation letters are highly encouraged.
