We are seeking a junior bioinformatician to join our Biology department.
This role will support current and future IRBM research programs from an in silico prospective.
An ideal candidate should have in depth skills in at least one of the following areas: comparative genomics, NGS data analysis, data mining, text mining, in silico transcriptomics/proteomics, in silico structural biology. Previous experiences in multidisciplinary work environments are mandatory together with strong communication skills. The candidate should be highly motivated, proactive and able to work independently in terms of building innovative and effective solutions to everyday and project assignments.
Minimum Requirements
- PhD in biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics or biology related subjects with at least one year of post-doc experience
- Advanced English skills
- basic/intermediate knowledge of scripting languages
- basic/intermediate knowledge of relational database
- Attitude to multidisciplinary work environments
