The positions are linked to the following research projects:
- a) ”Structure-based development of anti-cancer agents inhibiting the oncogenic activity of AKAP-Lbc”;
- b) “Gain-of-function mutations of the V2 vasopressin receptor in nephrogenic syndrome of inappropriate antidiuresis (NSIAD): molecular characterization and in silico identification of potential therapeutic agents”;
- c) “Genomic and pharmacological therapeutic approaches to target dominant mutations in Rhodopsin”.
Basic requirements include skill in molecular modeling and simulations of proteins. For positions linked to projects a and b (up to two years), skill in structure-based virtual screening of compounds and chemoinformatics would be fine as well. For position c (up to three years), an expert in full-atom and coarse grained (multi-scale) simulations of biomolecular systems (preferentially membrane proteins) is required. Collectively skill in structural bioinformatics and/or computational biochemistry/biophysics and/or chemoinformatics is expected.
Expertise has to be documented by adequate publication record in well reputed journals in a leading authorship position (i.e. as a first author).
Positions a and b need to start by July 2015, whereas position c needs to start by September 2015.
