RESEARCH ACTIVITY
He contributes in the coordination of the Bioinformatics Research Unit of the Institute of Biomedical Technologies of the National Research Council (CNR-ITB). This division was established in 1986 to work in the framework of the Italian Human Genome Strategic Project coordinated by the Nobel Price Prof. Renato Dulbecco. He carried out research to develop tools for the genome sequence analysis and prediction of gene structure in different organisms and to studying the functions of genes, promoter prediction, gene expression analysis gene network, system biology and to develop data mining tools integrated with sequence analysis tools.
