How to reach Cagliari

Sardinia has three airports: Cagliari-ElmasAlghero-Fertilia and Olbia-Costa Smeralda. We strongly recommend flying to Cagliari-Elmas.

From Cagliari-Elmas to Cagliari Central Station (Piazza Matteotti): public transport is an easy and quick way to reach Cagliari city centre from the airport or get to the airport from downtown; by train or by taxi your destination is no more than 10 minutes away

From Alghero-Fertilia to Cagliari Central Station (Piazza Matteotti): there is a bus service which departs from outside the airport and runs twice per day. The ticket can be purchased on the bus. The journey from Alghero to Cagliari lasts about three hours and a half. Departure times can be checked here.

From Olbia-Costa Smeralda to Cagliari Central Station (Piazza Matteotti)there is a bus service that connects the airport to Cagliari, or you can reach the Olbia train station (by taxi or local bus) and take the train to Cagliari.
