Sysbiohealth Symposium 2008
Sysbiohealth Symposium 2008

Systems Biology
Systems Biology is an emerging field that is expected to lead at system-level understanding of complex biological processes and to an accurated prediction of their dynamics.
The aim of Systems Biology is to obtain knowledge about regulatory circuits through the integration of molecular analysis of system properties (done utilizing also post genomic approaches) and mathematical modeling and simulation analysis.

Sysbiohealth Symposium 2008
The Sysbiohealth annual conference will take place in Bologna, Italy, from the 24-25 November 2008.

The theme of Sysbiohealth Symposium 2008 is Medicine and diseases: a systems biology perspective.

This year's topics include:
Foundations of Systems Biology
Biological Complex Systems
Experimental Techniques and Data Types for Systems Biology
Systems Biology of Organs, Diseases and Ageing
Systems Immunology
Systems Neuroscience and Neuroinformatics
Applied Systems Biology
Systems Medicine

This year's conference is organised by Gastone Castellani, Claudio Franceschi, Lilia Alberghina and Luciano Milanesi.

Registration is now open.

Previous editions
In 2005 the International Workshop on Systems Biology 2005 that took place at the University of Milano-Bicocca aimed at introducing Systems Biology in its multidisciplinary aspects and at covering the essential state of the art of the field.
The goal of the Sysbiohealth Symposium 2007, held in Milano, Italy, was to prove how Systems Biology is essential for achieving deeper knowledge of how biological systems function and for applying these findings to a more targeted and efficient drug discovery process.
