RECOMB Regulation/Systems/DREAM3 abstract deadline
We wanted to remind you that the deadline for abstract submissions to
RECOMB Regulatory Genomics / Systems Biology / DREAM3 is in two weeks,
on Monday Sept 15 at 11:59pm US Pacific Time (GMT-8:00).

Submitted abstracts will be considered for oral platform presentations
and also poster presentations.  Accepted abstracts will be included in
an abstract book to be distributed to all conference participants,
also including abstracts of full-length papers accepted in our partner
journals Genome Research, Nature MSB, and J. of Computational Biology.

All submitted abstracts that are not associated with a submitted paper
will be treated as personal communication, and the authors will
reserve the right to publish their work elsewhere.

For details on the meeting, registration, abstract submission and
formatting instructions, please see: http://compbio.mit.edu/recombsat

JOINT CONFERENCE ON REGULATORY GENOMICS AND SYSTEMS BIOLOGY

5th RECOMB Satellite Meeting on Regulatory Genomics
4th RECOMB Satellite Meeting on Systems Biology
3rd Dialogue on Reverse Engineering Assessment and Methods (DREAM3)

In partnership with Genome Research, Nature Molecular Systems Biology,
and the Journal of Computational Biology.

Wed Oct 29, 2008 (5pm) - Sun Nov 2, 2008 (1pm)
The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard
http://compbio.mit.edu/recombsat/

This year, three events in regulatory and systems biology have been
combined in what promises to be a very exciting meeting.  The goal of
the joint meeting is to bring together computational and experimental
scientists in the area of regulatory genomics and systems biology,
towards a systems-level understanding of gene regulation. The meeting
will consist of invited keynote presentations, oral paper and abstract
presentations, DREAM3 presentations of reverse engineering challenge
responses for several experimental datasets, and four poster sessions.

In addition to the oral and poster presentations, we are collaborating
with Genome Research and Nature Molecular Systems Biology to offer
concurrent journal publication of a select number of papers, based on
a parallel review process that combines the expertise of our program
committee and additional reviewers selected by the journal editors.
Moreover, the conference proceedings and all other accepted papers
will be published in the Journal of Computational BIology.

Topic areas:
* Modeling and recognition of regulatory motifs and modules.
* Chromatin state establishment, maintenance, and role in development.
* Post-transcriptional regulation and small regulatory RNAs.
* Regulatory networks, metabolic networks, proteomic networks.
* Cellular signatures of biological responses and disease states.
* Phosphorylation, metabolic fluxes, systematic phenotyping.
* Mathematical modeling and simulation of biological systems.
* Pathway inference and reverse engineering of cellular networks.
