RECOMB Regulatory Genomics, Systems Biology, and DREAM3 2008 announcement
Call for Papers, Abstracts, and Challenge Predictions

JOINT CONFERENCE ON REGULATORY GENOMICS AND SYSTEMS BIOLOGY

5th RECOMB Satellite Meeting on Regulatory Genomics
4th RECOMB Satellite Meeting on Systems Biology
3rd Dialogue on Reverse Engineering Assessment and Methods (DREAM3)

In partnership with: Genome Research and Nature MSB

Wed Oct 29, 2008 (5pm) - Sun Nov 2, 2008 (1pm)
The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard
http://compbio.mit.edu/recombsat/

This year, three events in regulatory and systems biology have been
combined in what promises to be a very exciting meeting.  The goal of
the joint meeting is to bring together computational and experimental
scientists in the area of regulatory genomics and systems biology,
towards a systems-level understanding of gene regulation. The meeting
will consist of invited keynote presentations, oral paper and abstract
presentations, DREAM3 presentations of reverse engineering challenge
responses for several experimental datasets, and four poster sessions.

In addition to the oral and poster presentations, we are collaborating
with Genome Research and Nature Molecular Systems Biology to offer
concurrent journal publication of a select number of papers, based on
a parallel review process that combines the expertise of our program
committee and additional reviewers selected by the journal editors.

For authors choosing to not submit to our partner journals, submitted
abstracts will be treated as personal communication, and authors will
reserve the right to submit their work elsewhere for publication.

Topic areas:
* Modeling and recognition of regulatory motifs and modules.
* Chromatin state establishment, maintenance, and role in development.
* Post-transcriptional regulation and small regulatory RNAs.
* Regulatory networks, metabolic networks, proteomic networks.
* Cellular signatures of biological responses and disease states.
* Phosphorylation, metabolic fluxes, systematic phenotyping.
