Postdoctoral position (12 months) in NGS bioinformatics in Montpellier.

In the context of bioinformatics team (LIRMM - MAB - CNRS - Univ.
Montpellier) that is developping new algorithms and methods for Next
Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis, we are recruiting a one
year postdoctoral fellow. This project aims at conceiving new
approaches for genomic sequencing analysis and applying them in genome
projects, for instance for marine planktonic algae of biotechnological
and ecological importance.  Applications are performed in
collaboration with the french biology lab responsible for these genome
projects (Dr G. Piganeau in Banyuls). After a year, the
research project will be pursed upon success, and enlarged to
encompass transcriptomic data and related species, with possibilities
of long term position for outstanding researchers.

Profile:
- PhD in bionformatics or computer science with interest in
pluridisciplinary research
- PhD in biology with a strong experience in bioinformatics
- Abilities for bioinformatics software development
- Communication in an interdisciplinary research group
