NGS bioinformatician at Laboratory of Genetics of Neutological Diseases - INSPE - San Raffaele Scientific Institute
Description 
The Laboratory of Genetics of Neurological Complex Diseases is affiliated to the Institute of Experimental Neurology (INSPE) at San Raffaele Scientific Institute. and has a position for a bioinformatician.
The laboratory is involved in the investigation of genetic architecture of complex neurological disorders, by means of analysis, identification and functional evaluation of genetic variants with NGS and array platforms.
The successful candidate will be involved in the development, maintanance and use of bioinformatics analysis pipelines for DNA-seq, RNA-seq and ChIP-seq data, and provide bioinformatics guidance to researchers by closely interacting with neurologists, biologists and bioinformaticians.
 
 
Requirements 
Master degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biotechnologies with a background of relevant content in bioinformatics and quantitative analysis of high-throughput data in molecular genetics. 
Good knowledge of Linux environment and proficiency with at least two of the following languages: Perl, Python, Java, R. 
Proficiency with standard bioinformatics and statistics tools and resources.
Good knowledge of relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) 
Good communication skills in English. 
Prior demonstrated experience analyzing NGS datasets is preferential.
