The Molecular & Computational Biology Section of the Department of Biological Sciences in
the Dana and David DornsifeCollege of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern
California in Los Angeles, California, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor
or a tenured associate professor position starting in the fall of 2013 in the broad area of
computational genomics. Applicant should have a doctoral degree in appropriate field of study.
The department values applicants who use approaches from computer science to solve biological
problems. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a vigorous, externally funded
research program and to participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching. The position will be
in the Molecular & Computational Biology (MCB) Section, which has a unique collaborative
environment with strong expertise in the production and quantitative analysis of genomic
data.The MCB Section includes an NIH Center of Excellence in Genomic Science. For
