A bioinformatician position is available at the Molecular Immunology Unit, headed by Dr. Mario P. Colombo, at the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale Tumori, Milan, a leading Center in basic and translational Cancer Research.
The interest of our lab is to understand the interplay between extracellular matrix proteins and the tumor immune contexture in shaping local and systemic immunity. Mouse models of solid (osteosarcoma, breast, prostate) and hematologic tumors as well as human malignancies are investigated. The candidate will collaborate to the Unit research projects for the management and the analysis of genomic data (gene expression profiles, single cell analysis) that will be produced in the different areas.

We are looking for a candidate with the following characteristics:
A degree in bioinformatics. Degrees in computer science and biology with experience in bioinformatics will be considered as well,
Good knowledge of Linux environment,
Good knowledge of scripting and programing languages (for instance R, python),
Knowledge of management of gene expression data and possibly next generation sequencing data
Knowledge of computational methods for interpreting biological genomic data (such as GSEA, KEGG pathways, GO terms,CIBERSORT).
The candidate should also have a good level of English, have good communication skills and a team-oriented working attitude.
Salaries will be commensurate to experience.
