Call for Expression of Interest for a Doctoral fellowship in Bioinformatics

We invite  expressions of interest  for  a doctoral fellowship in Bioinformatics to be held
at the Univesity of Siena - Doctoral programme in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, in collaboration with
Istituto di Informatica e Telematica  of the Consiglio Nazionale delle
Ricerche  (CNR) of Italy in the year 2017.

The awarding of the fellowship is via the procedures of the regional doctorate to be shortly specified

The  fellowship will be  funded by a grant of Istituto di Informatica e Telematica (IIT). The successful applicant will
follow the curricula studies of the regional Doctoral programme in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and upon completion is awarded
the doctoral title by the University of reference.

A brief sketch of the relevant conditions is as follows.

Level: Doctoral Fellowship

Duration: 3 years

Commencement: to be decided, within the year 2017.

Salary:  Gross salary for the first year  is  13,638.47 Euros (with increments for periods abroad)

Deadline for sending the expressions of interests and enrolment: 8 august 2017. 2pm

General Themes: Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.

Specific Themes: Development of computational  methods for identification and characterization
of structural variants from sequencing data in cancer.
