We are seeking a motivated and talented student interested in understanding the evolution and organization of the olfactory system in ants (and other insects).
A full-time, postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Laboratory of Molecular Neurobiology, Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology. The person in this position will be employed in the HORIZON-MISS-2023-CANCER-01 project: HIT-GLIO - Targeting tumour-host interactions in paediatric malignant gliomas to reinvigorate immunity and improve radio- and immunotherapy efficacy.
The aim is to investigate on WES data from different patient cohorts whether variations in genes involved in hepatic metabolism or exogenous oxalate transport can modulate the onset of secondary hyperoxaluria or the severity and progression of primary hyperoxaluria.
We seek a highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate willing to contribute to the large-scale NGS data analysis. We offer a contract that will be held for five years, subject to yearly renewals. The position benefits from a competitive salary (commensurate with experience).

Join us as a researcher at the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn (Naples, Italy) and the University of Ferrara (Ferrara, Italy) to explore the evolutionary processes underlying range shifts in a marine snail. The FIASCO project is fully funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU and involves a broad network of local and international collaborators.
