Job Description: An exciting opportunity exists to work as a Bioinformatician within the Genome Centre in the William Harvey Research Institute at Barts and the London School of Medicine & Dentistry. The centre is a growing organization providing genetics and genomics technologies (focusing on next generation sequencing and micro array) to a variety of academic researchers within the school and the wider London academic community. The post will work closely with academics both in design and analysis of experiments utilizing these cutting edge technologies. This demanding role requires an applicant with a broad portfolio of skills including a extensive genetics/genomics knowledge, programming, databasing and system administration. The successful applicant should ideally have a PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience. The post is full time for 3 years starting from 1st November or as soon as possible thereafter. Starting salary will be in the range £33,492-£35,355 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, final salary pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan. Job Description: A Ph.D. scholarship is available *now* at University College Dublin to work on machine learning methods to predict properties of small molecules. The scholarship is part of a multidisciplinary Ph.D. school and entails mostly computational work, but also a small component of \"wet\" training and data collection.
