Satellite event 1

On June 14th, 2016 a full-day satellite event entitled: "Uses and Applications of Crystallographic Data in Structural Chemistry and Drug Discovery" will be organized by the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Center. The workshop is aimed at researchers who use molecular structural information in the life sciences.
The attendance is free, but places are limited to max. 80 people. The deadline for the registration is May 25, 2016.

Satellite event 2

On June 15th, 2016 a half-day satellite event entitled: "Effective academic teaching: learning principles and didactic strategies that will transform your way of delivering bioinformatics courses" will be organized by ELIXIR-ITA Training Programme.

The outcomes of the workshop will be shared and discussed during the BITS conference on June the 16th. Finally, on June the 17th at 2 pm there will be a round table closing the conference to further discuss teaching issues and enroll academic lecturers interested in introducing a few effective techniques in their course (AA 2016/2017). Enrolled participants will be followed up to report outcomes of the "experiment" to the BITS conference in 2017.

A maximum of 20 candidates will be accepted. Priority will be given to candidates from ELIXIR-ITA member institutions. Notifications of acceptance will be sent shortly after the closing date of registration.
