Hotel Excelsior

The annual BITS meeting will be held at the Hotel Excelsior, Via Giulio Petroni, 15, 70124 Bari, Italy.

Accomodation

The BITS 2023 meeting venue (Hotel Excelsior) is closed to the city centre of Bari. The map show the distance from the main train station.

Some rooms have been reserved for Conference’s attendees. To book a room at the Hotel Excelsior, send an e-mail with your request to booking@excelsiorbari.it, and add as object “CONVEGNO BITS 21-23 GIUGNO 2023”.

The deadline is May 20th, and reservation will be accepted on a first-come, first-served criteria.

The room costs reserved to Conference attendants are as follow:

DBL € 135,00

Any other accommodation within the city centre or in the neighbourhood is a perfect place for attending the meeting and for enjoying the city.

How to get Bari

By plane: The airport of Bari (Aeroporto Internazionale Karol Wojtyła Di Bari-Palese Viale Enzo Ferrari - 70128) is connected to the Bari’s main train station by trains that allow you to get the city centre in 10 minutes. From the airport you can also reach the city centre also by taxi, by bus or by a shuttle bus service that connects the airport to the Bari’s main train station in 30 minutes. By train: The main train station of Bari (central) is connected with all the main Italian cities by fast and local trains. For the train schedule, please check the Italian railway company. From the main train station you can get the Hotel Excelsior in 2 minutes (see google map above).

By bus: The main Bari’s stations for bus companies (Flixbus, Marino, Sud-Est, etc) connecting Bari with other Italian cities are close to the central train station. For timetables and costs, please, visit the bus companies web sites.

By car: Bari is connected to other Italian cities by A1 Milano-Napoli or A14 Bologna-Taranto highways, exit at the Bari-Nord station and follow the direction "Bari Centro".

Social Events

The social programme will include a free guided tour of the historic centre of Bari and the Social Dinner. Both events will be held on June 22 after the afternoon scientific sessions.

The Social Dinner will take place at the Ristorante "La Cecchina", Piazza Mercantile 31, 70122 BARI.
