Job Description: N. 1 Post Doc research fellowship at the Department of Information and Computer Science (DISI) - University of Genoa (ITALY) Duration: 1 year from Jan 2009 (renewable) Description: The work will concern the application of machine learning techniques to the characterization of new biomarkers for certain types of cancer. The research goal will be the development of a new in-silico prediction approach for miRNA target genes. The results will be biologically validated and further exploited in collaboration with the Sbarro Institute for Cancer Research and Molecular Medicine at Temple University (Philadelphia) The fellow should have good mathematical and computer programming skills, and applicative interests addressed to the genomic field.
