One POSTDOCTORAL POSITION in APPLIED BIOINFOMATICS

available at the Department of Experimental Oncology (DEO), European Institute of Oncology (IEO), Milan.

The lab of prof Pelicci at the DEO of IEO has one open position as postdoctoral fellow in applied bioinformatics.

 

Main interest of the lab is the investigation of cancer-associated molecular mechanisms, with a strong focus on (gen)omic approaches and clinical data analyses.

The applicants must have excellent analytical skills, a strong statistical background, ability to work independently and as part of a team,

very good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills to efficiently interact with collaborators, and write and/or contribute

to research reports and publications for peer-reviewed journals.

The ideal applicant should have prior experience in the analysis of large genomic and epigenomic datasets.

Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent in any of biology, bioinformatics, maths, physics, statistics, computer science or engineering,

besides having strong programming skills (Python, Perl, C++ or Java) and confidence with statistical analysis software’s such as R or Matlab.

Candidates must be fluent in both spoken and written English.
