Post-doctoral position in bioinformatics available
The University of Luxembourg (www.uni.lu) offers within its Faculty of Sciences, Technology and Communication a:

Post-doctoral position in bioinformatics (F/M), BFR fellowship
For a project financed by the National Research Fund, BIOSAN program MECI, ref. 07/12 (www.fnr.lu)
40 hours/week, a two year contract will be offered, renewable once

The candidate will integrate the “Cytoskeleton and Cell Plasticity” group (Prof Evelyne Friederich) of the Life Sciences Research Unit to participate in a project assessing molecular circuits of epithelial cancer cell invasion by proteo-genomics approaches, with a specific focus on microRNAs. The project will be realised in cooperation with the national and international partners (CRP-Santé, CRP-Gabriel Lippmann, IGBMC, Strasbourg and IBM Montpellier).

Activities
Reconstruction of regulatory pathways from experimental data of various sources.
Development of bioinformatics tools dedicated to the in silico identification of miRNA target genes
Writing publications and reports
Presentations of results at international meetings
Interaction with national and international project partners.
Requirements
Master of Science degree in biology
PhD degree in bioinformatics
Previous experience in computational cell biology is essential 
Good programming skills are considered as an asset.
In addition to English as a working language, language skills in French and/or German will be considered as an advantage.
