The Microsoft Research – University of Trento Centre for Computational and Systems Biology (COSBI) is looking for 2 senior scientists to carry out interdisciplinary projects in the research areas of food & health and to expand the business of COSBI in the pharmaceutical, biotech and food industries.

The candidate must have interest and experience in the analysis of big data and biological networks or in the modeling and simulation of biological systems. Knowledge of molecular biology and experience in interaction with pharmaceutical, biotech or food companies is required. Proven ability in project acquisition and management is fundamental. The new hires will report to the CEO.

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

• PhD and master or bachelor in different subjects covering both biology and computational approaches related to pharma, biotech and food industries;
• Experience in acquiring funded projects from the private sector and in managing teams;
• Experience of business development is a preferential skill;
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to sell ideas to non-experts of the field;
• Availability to travel

Contract and salary:

Three-year contract. Salary and benefits negotiable according to CV, previous experience and skills.

Location:

The initial work location is Rovereto, Northern Italy for at least 1 year
