We are looking for bioinformaticians and a research support analyst to work on an ERC
founded project in our laboratory located at the Istituto Nazionale Genetica Molecolare
“Romeo ed Enrica Invernizzi” in Milan (Italy). The project will focus on dissecting the
molecular mechanisms and regulatory networks underlying the definition of T cell identity
and functional plasticity by epigenomic and transcriptomic analyses and stare-of-the-art
single-cell technologies.

Bioinformaticians
open to Post-doc candidates
Two positions are currently available in our group for post-doctoral researchers with
extensive experience in bioinformatics and analysis of high-throughput data sets such as
genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, data integration of clinical information and
functional analysis. In particular the position requires the ability to leverage machinelearning
techniques, develop innovative ad-hoc analytical strategies and bioinformatics
tools for exploiting large scale data generated by, but not limited to, single cells
experiments. The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent experience in
bioinformatics, must be proficient in at least a programming language such as R, Python,
Java, C, Perl, Ruby and their bioinformatics libraries, along with strong statistical
background. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are also
essential.

Bioinformatics Research Support Analyst
open to technician candidates
A position is currently available in our group for a Research Support Analyst (RSA). The
RSA will be responsible for the support of technology hardware and software in research
environments, in collaboration with research groups. RSA will provide support to INGM
researchers, translating the research needs into technology solutions. The successful
candidate will have degree in computer science or engineering, must be proficient in at
least a programming language such as C, C++ or Java, and in at least two scripting
languages between R, Python, Perl, and Ruby. Strong knowledge and experience with
relational and NoSQL databases, developing web applications and GNU/Linux systems
administration in High Performance Computing environments (Torque/PBS or similar) are
required and a demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team are also
essential.
