CONTRACT RESEARCH ACQUISITION MANAGER
Overview and description
COSBI has an international reputation for world-class research and driving for high impact in bioinformatics and computational biology applied to the fields of systems nutrition and systems pharmacology. It successfully attracts research contracts from top-level food and pharmaceutical companies.
COSBI started its operations over 10 years ago developing proprietary algorithms and methods to analyze, model and simulate biological systems at the molecular level, and connect these systems to higher level phenotypes. The research results are defining the state-of-the-art in many fields of bioinformatics. After an initial phase of technology development supported by seed investment funds, COSBI started a path towards self-sustainability, a goal it met almost completely in recent years by offering its expertise through contract research projects with international food and pharmaceutical companies. COSBI’s best asset is human capital: it offers world-class consultant research services. COSBI’s strategy is to work with companies in the field of systems nutrition and systems pharmacology, while maintaining a portfolio of cutting-edge research activities; this combination makes COSBI a unique player in the scientific and industrial research community.
To help COSBI achieve its business and research growth targets, we are looking for a tenacious and target-driven Contract Research Acquisition Manager to identify new business opportunities for both broadening the customer base and activating new research contracts with our existing clients in the food and pharmaceutical sectors. Prospective candidates should be able to evidence significant skills and success in business development targeting commercial customers rather than merely grant application writing and contract negotiation with national and/or international funding agencies.
The work of the Contract Research Acquisition Manager will include development of scientific marketing material based on the technology and skills available at COSBI. COSBI guarantees support of professional graphical design and administrative matters, however there is no extended marketing or communication team within the company so the CRAM will need to be self-reliant for many of the associated tasks.

 PhD, and at least 10-years research experience in bioinformatics and/or computational biology;
 Proven experience of building long-term effective relationships with high level stakeholders;
